John Kelly a wronged Navy SEAL gets revenge and uncovers a conspiracy.
This is a standard Tom Clancy, "Something sneaky going on in the government" story with lots of Kungfu, car chases, and gunfire. Lots of Military Operations on Urbanized Terrain (MOUT). The story is the same and the way we move through the movie is the same. I am pretty sure the outcome will be the same. And of course, Sr. Chief John Kelly (Michael B. Jordan) will be set up for a sequel.

If you are looking for something new this is not it. However, it makes a good made by machine for the proletariat, formula, non-realistic, no character development, weak story; with too much PC, addition to the ongoing Clancy tales.

    This movie is garbage🤢
This movie is supposed to be based on the book of the same name ..... It's not at all! I like MBJ but not in this! I hate this movie! Complete garbage in comparison to the book! Listen to or read the book it's one of Tom Clancy's greatest works. A love story worthy of Nicholas Sparks and action worthy of a Jerry Springer episode! But this movie is 💩 I hate Taylor Sheridan so much for ruining this story I quit watch Yellowstone! You can go to hell sir! I have nothing else to say bhtfhjyjijvfrghfjj go iihtfghjb. Gyjbfghjnjjoiyg. Jujggbjjugfdfgjjbv go look. Vng I had to use x amount of characters.

    Without remorse
Having read many of the reviews here - i can say I have never seen so many bad reviews over a single movie that appear to be in the overwhelming majority.

I was looking forward to a (perhaps) predictably Good guys always win - baddies always lose type of trype but I was prepared for it and was prepared to endure it.

The first thing that struck me was the now all too often over cast the mix of people in the movie.

I have no issue with bold strong characters from any background - but when my screen is full of a seemingly majority when in real life the stats are far and away different I already feel there is an undertone and a holier than thou message coming thru on - Oh look how good we are - I abhor this type of virtue signalling which spoils even more an already bad film.

    Tom Clancy's Without Remorse?
As I write this, I'm halfway through the movie.

I think I've read all of Tom Clancy's novels. Some of them I reread periodically. "Without Remorse" is probably my 3rd favorite of his novels (behind "Red Storm Rising" and "Executive Orders"), so I reread it every couple years or so.

I thought I'd watch this for dinner as I'd never seen it. As I watched, I grew puzzled. None of what I was watching seemed familiar. Has my memory gotten THAT bad? I kept watching and kept coming up blank.

I got out a copy of "Without Remorse" and thumbed through it, reading a couple paragraphs here and there. Nope, memory's fine, everything I read was familiar to me, just as I thought I'd remembered.

The problem was, while this movie had the name, it didn't have the content. It's not a bad movie, it's just not what I expected. The should have called the movie something else, "Death of a Bunch of People" or something, and "John Kelly" something like "Peter Joshua".

Anyway, back to see the rest of the movie.

    What did i just watch?
If it did not have Tom Clancy on it, it would be a mediocre action film. But it has the Tom Clancy name on it and the Without Remorse title. And all it has of the novel are three names (one of them is awarded to a completely different cjatacter than in the book... They even got the gender wrong...).

The story has nothing to do with the novel's. The characters are poorly written. The final outcome is poorer than a third world country.

Either use Clancy's books and make movies, or create action movies with no "click bait" names. Clancy ought to come back to life and sue you, but he would not win because copyright infringement means copying the work of the man, not three words of a book.

If you have not watched this yet, but read the book, stick to the book and don't waste your time.

    Info
First of all I enjoy watching the movies y'all have made and are making. I was cut off from knowing the movies were being made. I would enjoy ways of getting to know everyone and the lives led. Now that people are opening up because of the truth coming out. I have helped do a great amount to help even when others were making it difficult for me to. A Time To Kill is one where in real life I had to play both sides of what was taking place. In the end the 5 of us made huge step in history. As well as many other historical times that I want to begin letting people know. Dallas Buyers Club was a time I experienced in real life with a great group of people who at the time didn't realize how we didn't mind exploring ways to better the world. Lots more. Denzel has been wonderful. My main reason to post this is to let Lauren know that I don't know what happened about Nipsey's death. It was kept from me while others did things to make it look as if I was in on them as so many other things were. Things are better now, hopefully we can meet and talk sometime. Luke.
