AzminandRowdy - 1 June 2024 This destroyed the Nun series. This is the worst horror movie and horror movie sequel too. Our main villain Valek also known as the Nun doesn't have so much screen time at all unlike the pervious Nun movie. Sister Irene goes to France to investigate the death of a priest caused by the Nun. Her colleague Father Burke doesn't appear at all. Apparently he died from illness before the movie starts. Irene's new assistant is rather OK but still awful. The plot is bad. Valek wants the Eyes of St Lucy and possessed Maurice to work at the boarding school. Also Valek was at the school for a long time and never found the artifact until Irene show up. Most of the time it's just Irene and her new assistant running around places and they had to do an exorcism on Maurice to save him. Valek mostly appear as a hallucination and her demon helper the demon goat wasn't scary at all. The final scene the fight between Irene and Valek was poorly done. Her jumpscares were truly awful. The ending is so bad Irene leaves the school and Maurice and his girlfriend and her daughter head back inside.
If you watch this carefully you notice its very similar to The Exorcist
To summarise this movie. Poor action, drama, and not enough screen time for the main antagonist.
Don't watch it at all. It's a waste of money and time.
arunavaghosh-38673 - 6 February 2024 Better than the previous! Watched the movie just now.
Its absolutely better than its previous part. Direction is more better. The scenes are more precise. Angles and the lighting will surely impress you. Its kind of a thriller.
The thing, which is making it a little awkward, is, The Nun has lost its SHOCK POWER. The appearance of nun will not shock you. You will feel more heated up and more adrenaline during the demon search scene, than revealing the nun.
The Nun has lost its horror and now it has become, more kind off a thriller. Here the horror is portrayed less.. The thing which is more emphasized is the ultimate POWER which the Nun possesses. You will not get scared, you will get thrilled. Sounds awkward right? But yeah its true.
The story is good. The comeback thing, I really liked it. Horror lost then what's the thing left in the Nun. I still remember the scene when Warren's kid pointed out and wanted to know the identity of the unfamiliar figure standing at the end of the corridor. That was kind of a good heart shock scare type of scene. But now it is completely lost. Sad for this. Otherwise its great.
At last, AMEN.😈😈
Mori6 - 2 January 2024 Nunsense I'm not exactly the biggest fan of these movies but I was bored and the first one was okay despite being really dark visually.
Well I knew the ending because its in the other movie anyway which always removes most of the "battle scene" suspence! But, this was such a letdown all round. And again visuals so dark you can barely see whats going on in each scene not shot outside.
Our titular nun is sadly MIA 99% of the movie, rendering the far too long plotlines even more redundant.
I'd looked forward to seeing Maurice 'Frenchie' being all possessed causing mahem but how they worked it was so ridiculous!
I also yet again couldn't roll my eyes harder at the arrogance of the 'heroic' Warren's supposedly exorcising a demon that even the blood of Christ himself couldn't vanish.
Yep.
Stand up perfomances from the leads but about the only good point.
