    Utterly underwhelming
The story is flat. My daughter and I gave it a shot, and kinda liked the environment aspect, but both of us were bored by the story arch and characters. Sadly, Disney didn't build on the characters and make them likeable. I'm sure we weren't the only viewers not caring about them by midway. It's overly predictable, needlessly colorful, and misses opportunities for genuine laughs, instead trying to force a laugh too often which doesn't cut it these days with so many options.

Looking at the right things from a narrow perspective, maybe when viewed from a broader perspective, it turns out to be wrong
For families with children, whether they're under 10 or under 30, I highly recommend watching this movie together. It's perfect for a family movie night. To the kids, 'Strange World' is an adventure story, and the adult world, as depicted in the film, truly lives up to its name-strange. It can spark kids' interest and curiosity. What I recommend even more is for teenagers, say 16 or 17 years old, especially those whose perspectives might differ from their parents. In this movie, those differences are expressed twice. What's special is that the director and writer used the protagonist, Claude, to discuss different angles. There's the young Claude expressing himself, and then there's the present-day Claude, who's now a father and being expressed about. If you happen to have questions in this regard, I genuinely suggest watching it together with your kids and opening up a discussion. Because sometimes, what seems right from a small perspective might turn out to be wrong when viewed from a broader one.
