    Surprisingly Good
This film was overall a very good watch and kept the magic of the previous four films. Despite how long it was, it felt necessary. It allowed me to truly understand how Snow became evil and the second half of the film is the biggest reason for that. I really enjoyed the games. I also thought that the character were well played and helped make this film as good as it is. However, there are some downsides to this film. The film did get more slower and less exciting as the film went on. I also felt like the actual games could have been longer, rather than focusing so much on what happened at the end. But despite this, the film surprised me. I enjoyed it and will definitely watch again.

    A waste of money!
I loved the Hunger Games movie series so when this origin story movie came out I was excited to see it. I even bought it digitally thru iTunes. I wasted good money on a bad movie. It was very flat! Every single character was a cliché. The entire movie was predictable and unoriginal. None of the characters are well developed nor fleshed out. You never really learn what anyone's reason, intention, or motivation for any particular choice. None of the characters gave me a reason to become invested in the story. I could go on and on. Please do waste you time and money. Just stick to the original four movies and call it a day!
