It's a generous 3 just because Keanu is still in it!
Honestly the characters in this film are absolutely terrible, no characters that I made a bond with, even Neo was lacking much like ability like the original films! The plot is really terrible, this is not a Matrix film in my view and the producer I hope does not ruin any more films! Very slow I must add as well... luckily I had a skip button as I always watch films twice. The only moment I actually liked was the crew being descendants of the original characters, which was a good spin; however this does not help with all the awfulness that came about from this movie. Also the frequent flicking back to the old movies as if they did this to make us relate to the movie more, well it did not work!

    Visually stunning but conceptually confusing
Having viewed the original Matrix trilogy many years ago and enjoyed the original, while enjoying parts of the second and third but mostly forgetting what occurs in them. This latest entry in the series seemingly 18 years after the previous third film.

Resurrections is rated the lowest of the series on IMDB (although on RottenTomates Revolutions is rated far worse- look it up) and it's possibly justified. The acting isn't bad, the visuals are possibly better than ever. The concepts seems decent but it's execution and overall story was quite slow paced making it hard to follow. Quite more confusing than expected. A lot of scene jumping back and forth made it difficult in seeing what was real and what wasn't.

It does feel very detailed with different interpretations but this would mainly be enjoyed for true diehard fans. It does seem like a lot of effort was out into it. Although if anything this movie feels like a cash grab and was made due to the resurgence of Keanu Reeves' career from the John Wick franchise.

Does this film come with the blue pill
This was a massive let down. This is pretty much what a matrix film would of been like if it was created by the same people who done the resident evil movies. It was just terrible! They had so many cool options and such a vast world they could of done anything they wanted but it's like they picked the worst ideas on purpose!? Each of the original movies all had at least one or two epic fight scenes which everyone can remember. Still to this day such legendary fight scenes. I just watched this new film and all I can remember is neo used the force a couple of times. Nothing sticks out. No epic memorable fight scenes. I know there's more to the movie then just action scenes but the story was terrible too. Like I said its like they chose the worst ideas on purpose.

Is there Planned Parenthood for movies?
This is the worst film ever made. Seriously, who approved this crap? I've had more fun watching a praying mantis have sex... with a pencil! *Insert Tucker Carlson laugh*

Keanu Reeves, wtf were you thinking bro? I'm happy... no, I'm relieved Laurence Fishburne and Hugo Weaving had the smarts to walk away after reading the script. Jesus. I wouldn't be surprised if they called Lana and said "Is this a prank? Am I on Impractical Jokers right now? Ok, c'mon, where are the cameras?"

How can Jupiter Ascending be better than this? Have you seen that movie? I actually went to therapy to try to get that mess removed from my consciousness. And I haven't count out getting 250k people to sign a petition to get it erased from existence, but maybe it'll find better use to be played to captured terrorist in Guantanamo Bay. They'll spill everything surely.

Yes, The Matrix Resurrections is worse than that. From the looks of it, acting wise, Keanu probably had a day or two to prepare for the role, max! Jada Pinkett in makeup was disastrous. I think she ... (after careful review, I've decided to keep a certain someone's wife's name out of my mouth). Yes Jada she is a lovely woman. Best actress ever. Uh-huh, yep. Totally.

The premise of this movie was probably developed by an AI machine learning how to write a screenplay for the first time. Looks like someone then copied and printed it off as there own. This time, however, there is no black woman to steal ideas from.

I won't dog the movie any longer. I'm tired. But I will tell you to stay far away from this atrocity. It's like Candyman-never speak it's name or else it will appear and you'll be doomed. DOOMED I tell ya. DOOMED!!!

    The ultimate questions...
The Matrix was always more than a story. It was a question to be asked by everyone that saw it. What is your reality? What do you really know of yourself. What are you capable of and are you indoctrinated to be sure you will never achieve it? That is exactly what this is, a set of questions. What have you become? What happened to what you believe? Where are you now? Is there any point going any further down that line? This film is a very complex concept in that it resurrects the idea that the viewer is in a dreamworld and reinforces that idea by bring Neo and Trinity into that dreamworld. It is a real effort to get the original audience to re-examine themselves once more. It is a reminder that there is still a way out.

    Why did i watch this?
This is probably one of the worst movies in human history. I don't understand why the 4th part was filmed. Probably in order to spoil the impression of the previous three. They spoiled everything that could be spoiled. The maximum I can give is 1 star. The first Matrix was probably one of the coolest movies. Instead, the fourth part is one of the worst films in history.

    The film is pure horror.

If in the first part every frame can be analyzed for details (because they are just perfect), then in this part after every minute you will think: will this movie last much longer, because I can't stand it anymore?

Oh, and a separate surprise from the dialogues.

Because often they were just idiotic meaningless chatter.

    I can't beleive I waited 22 years for this!!!
What a disappointment! I suspect that one of the reasons that this movie was such a flop is that Lana Wachowski (formerly Larry Wachowski) did this project without Lilly Wachowski (formerly Andy Wachowski). Although not a remake as such, it succeeds in fitting right in with all those watered down so-called "modern" remakes of classics who earned their spot in the past. Just like in those "modern" version remakes or "modern" sequels/extensions continuing from where the original version(s) of the movies left off, they exchanged a majority or all the (usually older) seasoned actors who made the original what it was, for a bunch of grown kids (who are considered as great actors by their peers) trying to make a name for themselves and in the process messing the movie up without knowing. Pros: Jessica Henwick as 'Bugs' and Neil Patrick Harris as 'The Analyst', at least. Cons: Which is more than I can say for Jonathan Groff, the "new" Smith (yeah, right?!)!
