    More than you expect
I watched this as I was cleaning the house, I thought it would be a predictable American movie; and in some ways it is. After a few minutes I had to stop and watch it properly. I've worked with veterans and Channing is perfect at capturing what they really go through. Then you add in an animal - anyone with a heart will love this movie. Whether you're a veteran, have ptsd, feel a bit lost or just love dogs - you will love this movie.

I have to warn you, there is a very high chance of crying - properly crying. The cinematography only adds to what truly is a beautiful, honest movie and the actors should all be commended.

Don't write it off like I did, it is absolutely worth watching.

    Boring
This was so boring i almost fainted. I was waiting for this movie to end the whole time. I just wished it would stop. The acting was fine, but there was just no plot and the character development was so slow omg. I think the idea of the man and the dog developing a relationship was a nice idea, but their relationship didn't connect with the viewers. It just took way too long for them to finaly reach somewhat of a connection and outside of that nothing else happened. Everytime i thought something exciting was about to happen, there was just one big anticlimax. It's just boring. Don't waist your time.

    It's not about the dog!
Lulu is in this movie an beautiful character to mirror the behavior of the military around her. As part of a team she suffered the same traumatic experiences and had problems to deal with it (PTSS). Great ode to al the military who have to deal with programmed behavior and trauma's and the difficulty's' in live afterwards.

This movie is on the level of Hachy, the acting of Lulu is filmed in a great way, I wasn't aware ones that she looked in the camera. The hotel scene is great and i suggest the making of to see what measures were taken to make the shots. Complements for the way of shooting the movie.

    Good acting from the dogs.
I love animals more than humans so when there is a dog involved in a movie I can't help it to think it's going to end in tears (certainly with a movie title as Dog) but this one isn't really, at least not to me. So not a tearjerker for me, just a lighthearted comedy. The story of the dog being a war hero is okay, not that I agree at all that dogs should be used in a war. Channing Tatum is an okay actor but there are definitely funnier actors than him. It's not a criticism, it's just a fact. He isn't bad though. The four different dogs they used were all great and well trained. If you love dogs you can't go wrong with this movie.

    Veteran approved!
For all of you who've given up watching movies with military/ veteran themes because they are always disrespectful, disdainful, or at best simply disappointing - WATCH THIS ONE!

I just loved it. It's a drama rather than a comedy although it brings the funny too - but is more worth your time for it. Channing Tatum did a wonderful job as did Lulu. It's been a long time since I've seen a movie address the time after service so well. You don't need to be a veteran or veteran adjacent to love this movie, but if you are, this one is safe to watch. It's dog lover approved too by the way. Without spoilers... let me just say that while tears will be shed, you won't need therapy and a bourbon at the end. Good job all involved and thank you!

    Patriotic
Dog is a charming yet surprisingly heavy film in a sub-genre I'm a huge fan of, the road-trip buddy comedy, and it's one of the most underrated 2022 releases I've seen in a very long time, Dog is a fantastic film that I feel needs more love and one I absolutely loved.

This is a hilarious and beautiful buddy comedy showcasing an amazing relationship between discount Tom Hardy and this central dog protagonist, side note, who knew a dog could act that well, this film is filled with amazing music, beautiful cinematography, thrilling action scenes, and a beautifully emotional ending, Channing Tatum is also fantastic here and I can't believe no one is talking about this film.

Accompanied by one of the most tense and suspenseful scenes of tension I've seen in a long time, Dog slowly creeps its way into my top 10 movies of the year.

I'm gonna give Dog an A.
