What's not to like?? So much fun...
Seriously. It's Nic Cage playing Nick Cage doing all sorts of Nicholas Cage stuff from Nicholas Cage movies... AND it features Nicolas Kim Coppola playing Nicky, a young Nic Cage (very "Wild at Heart") hanging out with Nick Cage (unsurprisingly played BY Nicholas Cage!). And Pedro Pascal is in it, playing a Nic Cage fanboy, who might or might not be an International gun smuggling kidnapper.

(I actually think I got that first part exactly right!). This movie was fun... the situation was ridiculous, but the film is smart and funny, with lots of Nicholas Cage references, some cool action scenes, a hysterical on-screen bromance, and some sappy family stuff, because as they say in the movie, you gotta have "something for everyone!"

    I loved it!!

Clever, witty and unapologetically nick cage
This film takes you on a ride and has you wanting more by the end. Some of the comedy is slapstick and others are suttle and incredibly well written. The plot that keeps the flow of the movie moving is an odd third person take on them wtiting the film together. This keeps you interested as the film plods along. What sold it for me was the chemistry between cage and pascal as its not only heart warming but its also believable. I watched it expecting another nocholas cage vanilla film and I am glad I watched it as its been too long since I watched a clever funny film. In the end this is up there with face off and The Rock for me. Oh and paddington 2 is a great movie.

    Another American garbage
Skip this one. This garbage it's a waste of time. It's a failed attempt to revive Nic Cage's career. His career is dead and buried!

This movie is very stupid, boring and unfunny. It's one of the worst movies of Nic Cage's career. You can watch many movies that are far more better than this crap, or you can watch his old movies until 2005.

His old movies are far more better than this shite.

Everything is bad in this movie... the script, the acting, the characters, the dialogues... OMG, the dialogues are sooo stupid and boring!!! As if an 8 year old kid wrote the script. Come on man!!

Do yourself a favor and skip this one!

    AMAZING!
I have been doubtful about watching this. I never trust reviews anymore but I decided to give it a shot.

This movie is fantastic and it is awesome to see Nicolas Cage in such a majestic role which he undoubtful delivers perfectly. Thank you Mister Cage and Pedro Pascal, I enjoyed my new years watching this instead of watching fireworks, and well worth it.

This is a clever movie and for some reason I have noticed that revies often goes lower on smart movies because I think a lot of audience lack some level of intelligence, therefore their reviews lower a perfect score.

If you want to enjoy a fantastic movie and have a great evening, watch this one.

One of the funniest meta movies I've seen this year!
I love movies that are about movies, for moviegoers, for people in the movie industry, and for all the dreamers who love great stories. This movie is absolutely great. Think about this. It is metacinema that pays homage to cinema, but also laughs at cinema. It's an immersive story that goes in all directions, even going beyond the limits of the fourth wall, transforming the characters into the creators of their own story. Wacky! Everything always with hints of the best humor and action of the cinema of the last decades (not exactly the current cinema) and up to here I think I have already used the word cinema a lot, but it's inevitable! Anyway, this review will remain like this, like the film, half-baked, as a previous sketch, unedited, unfiltered. I'm lovin 'it.

Now obviously there are a couple of negatives to go over and let's start with the elephant in the room. The visual effects used for Nicky were horrible. His whole appearance is ominous. Wardrobe, hairdressing, rejuvenation. Although the idea that makes him exist justifies his appearance, this doesn't do a good favor for the film.

Another thing that I didn't like very much was the performance of Pedro Pascal. But this isn't limited only to this title, in my opinion he's an overrated actor and his role here is another proof of this.

Everything else is great, but as I mentioned at the beginning, the real gem here is the script.

Recommended only for real movie buffs.

Nic Cage proves himself a classy, good-natured, down-to-earth star by poking fun at himself and his career while making a delightfully funny film.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is a hilarious meta ride filled with goofy charm and outrageous comedy. Nic Cage made this movie possible and wonderful - both because the movie is a parody of his career and because he was willing to be a good sport and play an exaggerated crazier version of himself. The story bears some similarities to Hot Fuzz as characters unknowingly discuss upcoming plot points that come later in the film. The whole thing is bonkers, entertaining, good-hearted, and silly. Pedro Pascal expands his acting range by playing an obsessed Nic Cage fan that boosts the comedy further by matching Cage's manic craze with sincere adoration and enthusiasm. As a Nic Cage fan, I laughed out loud repeatedly. As an action-comedy fan, it's a pretty funny and enjoyable way to spend an hour.

    Your Nicolas Cage
An interesting and twisted tale with genuine moments of great comedy really well paced from the beginning the dynamic between Nicolas Cage and Pascal are very good While being very funny. Nicholas cages interactions with his younger version of himself from wild at heart really add to the movie, didn't go in with the high of expectations a lot of Nicholas cages movies can be hit or miss. Mostly very watchable without being good enough to re-watchable over the last few years, this is a bit of a Nicolas Cage classic his ability and sense of humour to allow himself to take the Mickey out of these lesser projects really is where the humour begins in this project could be rated with Nicholas cages work from twenty years ago. The rock Conair leaving Las Vegas One of the strongest projects in years .
