    Emotional small scale documentary
This incredible Oscar winning documentary, is definitely a highly dramatic and ever recommended story in every sense of the word.

What on the surface might seem like a rather small and typical task, becomes the story of a sprecies-crossing friendship for the ages, one that is very emotional, very real and very finely conveyed through the incredible cutting and editing.

The cinematography, cutting and editing is great, and the film is without a doubt very finely and masterfully put together indeed.

Overall, a very emotional, sweet and overall splendid documentary feature, that is definitely recommended and deserving of all its praise!

    Didn't know what to expect
We just wanted to watch something that would be somewhat safe for the family to watch. Well it didn't take long and we were hooked on this doc.

This is mostly narrated by the scientist that took all the footage, he has some interviews and other people talk but its talking overlayed on video footage.

The narration does a really good job of making you feel for the main character (an octopus) as well as the people that interact with her.

There are some tense moments and some sad moments but overall it is inspiring and leaves you with a sense of hope. I would recommend this one to families or anyone interested in marine life.

    Next film My homeless teacher
He reaches out to the underbelly of society after a "hellish two years" and treks out each day from his Hollywood mansion to spend time on the outskirts of skid row, befriending a nice homeless woman who is rather skittish at first.

Unbeknownst to her, he realizes he is interested in her daily life, and shows genuine compassion and friendliness, proving to her he means no harm. Then, one day a rogue group of bandits hunt and stab her while he watches from afar; making sure not to disrupt her environment so that she can live as an authentic homeless woman.

She receives no care but miraculously heals as best she can and eventually finds someone to mate with. He watches as she carries her baby to term, dying in childbirth. Finally, his experience ends as the other rogue homeless swoop in on her and her belongings and take everything, including her body.

Thank God he has a family that he can now act more humane to, now that his dark urges have been fulfilled.

    ABSOLUTELY FASCINATING
I love documentaries and have seen literally hundreds of them in my 40+ years as an intense film buff, and this is among a small handful for the depth of feeling it evoked. It's a love story of an odd sort, and the two main characters are bewitching. I even shed a few tears. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Above average documentary nice to pass time
I give it 8/10 because the everyday determination nearly 10 months if its true. The biologist also tended to other animals but not really shhown here due to the star of the show is the Octopus.

Although its a very short documentary but it is entertaining.
