    Awful
Just a terrible take on the classic cartoon, which was funny because of when it was made, probably wouldn't have been made like that now, but also because the situations they got themselves into - short and clever little skits. Not overly long. Simple.

Basing that over an entire film situated just in a New York hotel with actors trying to react to the animations just doesn't work. The storyline and humour are just appalling too.

Add to that, it's just terribly acted despite having some well known names, and you have one of the worst remakes I've seen in a long time. It just didn't need to be made.

Overall one word comment - cool

Worth mentioning - Chloe is brilliant. Make a great Catwoman.

How I do it differently - Not sure but probably set in a house as in traditional shows concept.

Age is a very high price to pay for maturity. As for me, I love a good animated film. and I am not afraid to admit it.
I liked it. Plain and simple. Yes the film focuses more on the live characters such as Chloë Grace Moretz who plays a street smart hotel hostess named Kayla and the usually more serious dramatic actor Michael Peña who plays Kayla's boss as a middle management hotel manager. There is a huge wedding planned at the hotel and Tom and Jerry are sure to wreak their usual havoc on the hotel staff and wedding guests. It is a fun film for children and us Peter Pan adult types that never seem to grow old. Throw in a romance between actors Colin Jost and Pallavi Sharda and you get the picture.

I give this animated Tom and Jerry film a more than decent 7 out of 10 IMDB rating. I can't wait for Mrs. Shullivan and I to sit down with our grandchildren and watch it again together with a 65 year age gap between us. Young or old.
