A small-time magician with zero interest in football must lead his local team to the finals of a tournament if he wishes to marry the love of his life.
dubeyrakesh-73728 - 5 August 2023 Pleasure to watch Jadugar was a pleasure to watch. An unexpectedly & pleasantly surprisingly good work of art.
Such movies are much superior in quality than most, if not all, big budget rubbish from bollywood.
Simple real storyline. Entertaining. Very nicely depicting the struggle between morality, love, desires. Stirring the tender human emotion within. Talented team of actors.
Meenu, the real-life IITian and Sachivji of Panchayat, was wonderful. Disha is lovely & beautiful. Each of the 12 players were unique in their own way.
The scene where Doshi starts dancing in joy and then regains composure in the next moment, was hilarious.
Overall a masterpiece from Sameer Saxena.
anntann - 14 September 2022 Could have been sweeter! Treatment of the film is good. Performances are all up to the mark. The small town feel is really quite sweet and convincing. As are some of the characters. However the story miss the mark. On many levels! Plus I couldn't really understand what the hero wants from life. His story arc is all over the place!
The end is ridiculously contrived just to be different. But it's still a clichè! Unconvincing premise...the hero has to comply with a unbelievable request to win the girl. The lead just becomes annoying at this point. And the end almost inevitable. Wish the script had been as good as the cast and the feel of the film.
