    Amazing! Love it.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The movie, a film based on a manga named Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami. This movie was about a young boy, Yuta Okkotsu, who experiences a tragic accident and is cursed by his childhood friend.

As a dedicated fan of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, I excited to see the release of this movie and watched it before getting into the manga. The manga's storyline was fantastic, full of excitement and humor. It focused on a world where curses are born from people's negativity energy.

When it comes to visuals, animations, and artwork, I can confidently say they are incredibly smooth, visually pleasing, and detailed. Every scene was dedicated to the characters' fluid and precise movements, maintaining a consistent and proportionate look throughout. Despite being animated by hand, the physics and surroundings made the movie feel surreal. The composition of each scene conveyed a rich depth of emotions. In joyful moments, everything was bright, lovely, and sweet, yet they could swiftly transition to a dark, eerie mood.

The opening song was euphoric, setting the stage for an exciting viewing experience and keeping the audience on the edge of their seats, anticipating more captivating moments to come. It introduced the life of Yuta Okkotsu, a child ensnared by a curse and thrust into the world of Jujutsu, completely transforming his life. The song was complemented by the beautiful depiction of the Jujutsu Campus, introducing the place where Yuta Okkotsu would now be studying, having been put into this new life and an unfamiliar environment he had never explored before.

Yuta Okkotsu, the protagonist of the movie, initially portrayed a cheerful demeanor when with his childhood friend until a tragic event changed everything. Plunged into depression, he withdrew from others, fearing he might bring them harm. However, with the support of new friends, training, and his own determination, he gradually improved. Along his journey, he forged strong bonds and ultimately gained confidence in his abilities, growing stronger and embracing his new life by the end of the movie. I sympathize with what Yuta went through, the lost of his friend, loneliness and depression. I feel a personal connection to his kindness, determination, and the genuine care he shows for his friends. Despite facing numerous challenges, Yuta continued to maintain his kindness and politeness towards others. His relentless effort to become stronger and better, not just for himself but also for the well-being of those around him, resonates deeply. He couldn't bear to see others succumb to the vile fate imposed by curses and was driven by a strong desire to protect them. As Yuta Okkotsu only made an appearance in Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and was mentioned in other seasons, I became attached to him and would like to see him appear again in the series.

From the beginning of the movie, I was glued to the screen, eagerly rooting for Yuta's growth. However, the story took a sudden turn, introducing new dangers and placing Yuta in life-threatening situations. Only to end with a heart-wrenching twist, yet the final moments left a lasting impression on me. I felt a sense of contentment and happiness with how everything ended, and I longed for the new season that would come out in episodes.

Even if you haven't read the manga, watching Jujutsu Kaisen season one first will give you a good understanding of the movie. However, even without prior knowledge of either, the movie is still quite exciting, enjoyable, and sprinkled with humor. In my opinion, if I could rewind the time and watched everything again in order, it would be the movie first, followed by season one, and then season two.

Exciting characters and action carries fractured plot
JJK-0 offers a mouth-watering prologue to the first season coupled with some familiar faces and the consistently brilliant animation we have been accustomed to with Mappa.

Where the visuals shine, the story is rather lacklustre in its execution, the ending lacks tension due to pacing issues highlighted by the stringing together of the plot. This is however largely unavoidable due to the manga - chapter style progression that doesn't lend itself to a film structure. Thus the film suffers at times from feeling like separate episodes rather than one arc.

However, this can be ignored because JJK 0 is fantastically enjoyable. Gojo Satoru is as always a treat and we get more depth given to his character. The Yuta Okkotsu that was absent in S1 is given a role as the protagonist that allows the darker world of Jujutsu Kaisen to shine in a way we haven't seen before.

Explosive action and unique characters in a occasionally patchwork plot that builds upon this exciting universe.
