    Slow-paced, cringeworthy acting
I believe, the movie started off well but the plot wasn't interesting enough, sure there were twists right till the end but it really didn't play out well.

They could have actually moulded the story better towards the second half, the build up was great but what came next was equally disappointing.

I am really inclined to point out- the acting of the protagonist was confusing, her dialogue delivery was cringe for the ones who understand whats going on in the movie. I feel the voice modulation could have taken the movie up a notch. The others were great, they played their part well given the limitations of their role.

All in all wouldn't recommend it for someone seeking a thrilling movie with a satisfactory end.

    Predictable and boring
I don't understand why Netflix always repeat the same script formula. Seriously, I don't get it.

This movie is predictable from beginning till the end of you have watched similar movies.

There was a time where some independent cinema were so good because of the script and not the budget. Nowadays, it is almost impossible to find anything fresh and not contaminated with the usual 1+1 formula. I mean, even a kid can guess here the twist, the murder and the resolution.

Anyway, if you're in the mood of wasting 90 minutes go for it. If you are anxious to watch something great, please, avoid this one.

The worst movie I have ever witnessed. Netflix should be ashamed.
Total garbage. Terrible cast, premise, mistakes galore, unbelievable plot. I do not do this, if something sucks I just walk away and keep quiet. I understand this is somebody's creation and they are proud. But this is the worst film next to Malibu Express I have seen.

Email me @ brian_richardson11 at yahoo dot com if you have seen Malibu Express before or if you feel the same and we can talk.

The nice guy in the film I thought she would end up with. After the aftermath and she is pushing the stroller, I thought that was their baby so, at least a silver lining would happen.

But you never see that sweet man ever again in the film. They just cut him out completely. C'mon.

    NOT A THRILLING RIDE ...
The Weekend Away is a story revolving around how two friends meet for a weekend at Croatia and how things take an ugly turn during the short getaway and one of them gets killed and other tries to prove herself Innocent of not killing her friend until the truth Unfolds.

Starring Leighton Meester (Roommate Fame) , Ziad Bakri and Amar Bukvic and Chrstina Wolfe and Directed by Kim Farrant is a small Budget movie

What I do Like is the background score in the very beginning which is apt to build the atmosphere or set the tone of the Movie. The Location Croatia which is a good change for an American movie to be almost shot at and the ensemble casting for a non starrer.

What I Do dislike is the performances are not up to the mark and the climax / ending was a bit to rush rush. But yet it is worth a binge watch and great effort by Kim Farrant. The movie is worth OTT and not a Theatrical Release. The movie has its small flaws which can be ignored.

    Decent thriller
There is rarely an epic experience from Netflix homegrown movies. Like the "straight to video" or "TV movies" quality stamp "The weekend away" is an hour an a half well spent. Actors are doing their best, but camera, editing, sound and directing has no ambition to make something extra ordinary. I like a murder mystery that introduce several possible motives so the writers did a good job in my opinion, but the execution is average. Still I stayed until the end and found the experience "ok".

Amazingly terrible. Even the stunning locations look dull
This is one of the poorest movies I've seen in decades. Absolutely no character development, plot nuances, or intrigue; very unconvincing actors whose job, to be fair, is made even worse by terrible script, cack-handed direction and long lingering shots where they clearly don't know what they're supposed to do and just look uncomfortable. Two girlfriends on a weekend pissup in Croatia and one goes missing: it's hard to believe the result of such a promising idea is so awful. Trust me, it is.
