    Underrated thriller 8.5/10
I went into this thinking it was going to be alot like the movie don't breathe and surprisingly I was wrong, this had all sorts of unpredictable scenes that were very satisfying and unique in there own ways compared to your generic horror/thriller.

The story line was solid and had me entertained from the start, it was definitely a well thought out movie.

The only negative thing I have to say about this movie is there could of been a little more context between some of scenes instead of leaving the watcher to put the pieces together, in all fairness it was still easy enough to follow and make sense of it all.

I really enjoyed this movie and loved the English take on horror, this ending was satisfying as any horror / thriller should be without copying the generics.

This movie should be rated alot higher then 6.3 The acting was fantastic for a Netflix movie.

And hats off to the director for making believable and interesting scenes. Top stuff.

    Gets lost
This starts out well, the first 30 minutes is interesting and indicates a good mystery, but it just drags on, victims get despatched at a regular rate, so regular it becomes silly.

No one is looked and no one, including the police, connect the dots to the house and killer, those that do become victims so quickly it adds to an almost comical plot.

At any point if one of the victims gave the police a clear description of what was going on, less would die, but no, there is always a reason they cannot, so it just goes on & on.

I actually started to dislike the victims because they became more frustratingly stupid as the movie collapses into a silly rushed ending, sort of worth watching but not really.

    A Missed Opportunity
For a so-called 'Thriller' this film is sufficiently lacking in "thrills". It has the right components and the right ingredients, but can't find something that works for the genre. What we get instead is a half-baked, lukewarm movie that knows what it's trying to be but can't get there.

Hugh Bonnerville is not the right casting for this. I get he's a pretty big star and name to have, but you just don't buy that he's a serial killer. Having said this, he does have some chilling moments that begs the question, is he actually right for the part? But no. These moments are glossed over and that's another issue: the pacing is all over the place. It's a thriller, you want to be dragged through uncomfortable scenes and made to feel like you're trapped in a basement or in a house, but this film prioritises unnecessary domestic dialogue and plot points, to the main arc of the story.

The cast are not necessarily underused in terms of screen time, but in terms of their purpose. Their stories are built up and created but have little to no actual purpose. It's so frustrating to see promising storylines put to death for no apparent reason.

Overall, this is a below average take on a pretty easy genre to get right most of the time, but sadly this film misses all of its beats and doesn't give you any real satisfaction or pay off. A shame, because this could be a gem of a film if it played its cards right.

    Worth Your Time
You have to forgive some things, particularly TIME. It passes with little help from the director. We have to fill in the gaps based on scenes that are at times confusing, but if you stick with it and watch until the end, you are rewarded with at least a small piece of candy. There was a point near the end when I could see the plot's going in a different direction, and the pessimist in me would have accepted that (That the judge ended up successful), but the director went in the traditional direction, and that was good too--for the optimist in me. Overall, this is a good movie, but it could have been good still if the hero had not had to lose his family to boot, but then I guess we have to ASSume that his wife took him back.

    A successful style exercise
Young burglars with a message (they rob the rich, with messages to back it up) find themselves robbing a house where they find a person being held in the basement. This is the starting point of this detective story that plays with the nerves of the spectator. It is the house of Hugh Bonneville, a well-connected and untouchable judge, which gradually appears to hide secrets, a dark past and unexpected impulses. Our burglars try to denounce him, to help the police understand, to compromise him.

Through its suspense, the film speaks very well of the precariousness of poor people and immigrants in London. Hugh Bonneville is very good in his interpretation (and the film plays on his aura acquired with Downton Abbey), unassailable, equivocal and ambiguous. The film contains moments of surprises, that is, surprises that we do not expect, but also gradual rises in tension. All this is well oiled and the mechanism works perfectly. A successful style exercise.

    Very under rated movie
Id give it a 8/10. It's a very good movie. Very under rated. Didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I was surprised by how some things ended . It's not the clique actions you'd expect where you know what's going to happen.

I actually came upon this movie through tik tok short reals so I wasn't expecting much. It gives a true crime, action , and suspense movie type vibe. Does have some violence but nothing too terrible. There was no nudity and I don't remember hearing swear words.

The acting wasn't terrible. It's not a bad movie at all in my opinion. I think it just needs more publicity to get the praise it needs to.
