    A Divine Masterpiece!
I must say it is a Divine Masterpiece!

What sets "Kantara" apart is its authenticity. The film captures the essence of rural Karnataka with exquisite detail, from its vibrant festivals to its lush landscapes. The cinematography is breathtaking, immersing viewers in the sights and sounds of the countryside, while the evocative soundtrack adds depth and emotion to every scene.

Rishab Shetty, as an Actor and as a Director has done fabulous work. At its core, "Kantara" is a story between human, nature and divine forces - the bonds that tie us together and the challenges we face in navigating the complexities of love and loss. Through its rich tapestry of characters and emotions, the film resonates on a deeply personal level, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences and relationships.

    Dumbest movie ever!
I am not sure if I am missing something! It's ultra boring. My whole family, friends and students didn't like the movie too. They were like "Is this even a movie". "What kind of movie is this?". "How this movie grossed so much?". "The movie has almost no content or story". I slept in the halfway. It wasn't even watchable for me!

The gross income of this movie is a proof that superstitions still prevail in India.

But I do appreciate the great bgm and lighting. The art is good. The beginning dance was so artistic but didn't like the violent shouting. Throughout the movie the shouting was irritating. I didn't like the concept. I wonder how so many people liked this movie. Just one star for me. Sorry Kannada friends.

One Of The Best Cinematic Experience
This Film Was One Of The Best Cinematic Experience For Me

It's A Weekend And I Just Want To Go For A Film And I See That This Movie Is Trending And It Is Even Dub In Our Regional Launguage (Telugu) So I Think I'll Just Give It A Try

Before Going This Movie I Even Don't Watch Any Trailers And I Don't Even Know What Is The Plot Of Movie

But After Movie Starts The First Narration Scene Was Soo Intresting And It Hooked Me Up To The Movie

From Hero Intro Scene To Every Song And BGMs And Cinematography And Characterizations Everything Worked Well And I Liked Them

I Even Felt Few Vibes Of My Favourite Film Virumaandi So I Loved This Film More

And After The Climax Scene I Was In A Trance

One Of The Best Cinematic Experience And Best Climax Scene That Make Me Goes To A Trance

-- If There Are Any Grammatical Mistakes In My Review Sorry For That ---

Slow Movie but a Perfect Climax
The movie is a cinematography levers dream. If you love film making then this will just amaze you. But as a weekend movie watcher, it might seem to be long and leaving you waiting for a twist every moment. The picturization is intense, background score is amazing, acting is mind blowing. But the story is more on symbolism rather than being eventful.

The movie could have been shortened a bit and the symbolism could have been shown more evidently for a normal audience. For eveything this movies lags, the climax makes up for it.

You will be left mesmerized and shaken with the climax. Rishabh's acting will leave you spell bound.

This movie is a big no for Indians who watch movies based on the star cast and the kings of bollywood.

A must watch for film lovers who love story, acting and meaning.

    Overhyped and below average
The last 10 mins of the movie are okay else it is just an overhyped below average movie. The male protagonist drinks liquor, kills wild animals, smokes weed, objectifies woman and engages in deforestation and extreme violence. There is no social message of why all this is wrong and might be an encouragement for the viewers to indulge in these malpractices. Few of the scenes are absolutely cringy and the script is predictable. The writing is loose at my parts of the movie. I waited for months to watch this movie but I am very disappointed with all the hype around it. Still could not understand how this was a spiritual experience for many people.

Seeing a good movie after a long time
Wowww, what an amazing movie. I don't know of anyone who has seen this movie only once. Unfortunately, I could not watch this movie in theatre, but still loved it by watching this on my TV. Amazing performance by Rishabh and great casting. I see, lot of reviews saying that this is hyped, I understand that. If you are not familiar with the Karnataka's coastal region culture/way of life and also Bhootha/kola, lot of things in this movie seems very ordinary. So totally agree that not everyone would like this movie. But no matter what the final 15 mins of the movie will be mind blowing to anyone. I must have seen that scene like 10 times on repeat.

Great casting, except for Achyuth Kumar. Although he's a great actor, I felt like someone else of lesser fame with more closer accent could have done justice to the role.

Lot of fights were not really necessary, could have kept it much real and still had the same effect.

Some of the characters needed some build-up. Like the guy who lifts Rishabh in the final scene, just shows up without any history.

Bit more depth into the way of life of the villagers. They are mostly just fighting for land and drinking alcohol. Maybe some plot around why they need and deserve the land.

But nevertheless, unbelievable movie. Really happy to see such an impactful movie after a long time.

A visual treat and heart melting performance movie
A movie which has broken all the records till date. Shiva aka Rishab Shetty's outstanding performance drove this movie across the world. Brilliant work by the director, the cinematographer and background scores which shall immerse you into the story which is relevant to each one of our lives. Songs are also very popular especially Varaha Roopam which is a classical masterpiece. Another highlight of this movie is projecting a village festival Kambala. Saptami Gowda's performance is good. Achyuta Kumar and Pramod Shetty played a significant roles. Overall each technician who worked for this movie have given their contribution to the film's success! Kudos.

    Super overrated
The base of story and the movie that is the demi-god is interesting, but the the maker lost the main plot and the interesting element of the movie, entirely.

The base is hardly there in the movie, unnecessary length, unnecessary other story line, if it stick to it, the story and the entire movie could have been way more interesting, but showing just glimpse of demi god and not playing it totally was the weakest element in the movie and due to which there is nothing extra ordinary about it.

The demi comes in the very end and that too in very strange action sequence where the bad guy is shooting with ease of sitting on a chair. That was too immature.

I still cant find a reason for these extra hype about the movie. It is way below average and nothing to praise about.

I haven't seen a worse movie than this one. I wasted so much time. The actor is so bad!!! I am shocked that a movie that promotes animal killing is getting all this appreciation. I hate it!
