    Deja-Vu Massacre
A Rock band rent a veritable Hellhouse to record a new album. The entrance appropriately displays welcoming gargoyle topped trapezoidal stone pillars flanking the black spiked iron gate.

Strange occurrences begin happening immediately upon settling in, from moving curtains, spotting a mysterious groundskeeper, demonic shadows coursing throughout the house, nightmare creatures, eventually stumbling into a veritable ritual chamber, which features an eviscerated racoon bleeding out into a drain, dolls in trees, & bloody shears in an industrial sink. Also features the unicursal hexagram as the predominant Gateway sigil, along with a grimoire, a-la Necronomicon.

None other than Kerry King of SLAYER plays a tech who rides the lightning early on, presumably initiating the sacrificial proceedings. After that, the rest of the band follow one by one in their own individual brutal manners. The BBQ grill death with subsequent cannibalism, and the courier decapitation dismemberment are most notable.

A neighbor warns the band about the house, where the previous band Dream Widow recording there excarnated by the hand of the Crowleyan Warlock & demon-possessed singer Nole.

Receiving inspiration from the sigil and becoming possessed, the music goes from a sort of generic grungy sound to more of a Gothic, Doom, Power Metal sound reminiscent of a combination of Iron Maiden {guitar solos}, Black Sabbath, Coven, Black Widow, even Candlemass & Lucifer, perhaps a bit of Black Metal thrown into the bubbling sonic cauldron.

Each meet with demise upon completing their track for an infernal composition exceeding a generous 20+ minutes. Reminds of VENOM's At War With Satan, and MERCYFUL FATE's Satan's Fall, also TYPE OF NEGATIVE's overall gratefully lengthy opuses.

Dream Widow make an appearance like a Coven of Witches, as devilicious Skye Willow {Jenna Ortega} comes forth to deal with Nole, and complete the diabolical rites with her understanding of the grimoire, preparing the sinister way for further evilutions.

The soundtrack eponymously named DREAM WIDOW presents some of The best of The Beast with various Metal genres interlaced to create a remarkable album, that was finally completed, launching a solo tour! Evil prevails!

    Fun Foo Fighting Frolick
You have the Foo Fighters acting as themselves in a comedy horror.

If you're expecting anything other than a slightly camp, B-movie style film, then you're gonna feel cheated.

I love the fact that these guys don't take themselves too seriously, and just have fun making a film that just pokes fun at themselves.

There are a few scenes that hark to classic gore-fest films, and a few nice kills.

Pat Smear is hilarious - ai sincerely hope he's no different in real life.

Two "Pearl Jam high fives" was a perticular highlight for me (a PJ fan since their inception).

It won't win any Oscars, but it'll make you smile aplenty. Just enjoy it for what it is.

"Did you just say no to Dave Grohl?"
"Studio 666" is better than I expected. It's actually pretty funny at times, and mildly entertaining. The band are better actors than you'd expect, particularly Dave Grohl, who is capable.

The movie was filmed in secret during the pandemic, and it feels like that. It's as though the guys made this movie in their spare time, when their day jobs were over. It feels very much like an '80s b-horror flick, like something by David DeCoteau or Fred Olen Ray, and those guys' movies were generally shot on the run.

The problem with the movie is that it sticks too closely to established genre convention for it to be really fun, or really interesting. I would have preferred more in jokes or insight into the music industry. It could have been a horror-comedy "This is Spinal Tap". But you can always see the gears of the supernatural slasher plot turning.

The scene with the Lionel Richie cameo is a good example of what the movie could have been. It's off-the-wall and hilarious, and totally unexpected. I still liked the movie, but it's a pretty minor blip on the radio, whether you're a Foo Fighters fan (I'm not) or a slasher junkie (I am).

    Stay Away From My BUBBE!!
I don't care what anyone says but this movie is funny! I mean if your looking for academy award acting, you're setting your sites too high but if you want some crazy slap stick comedy with a bunch of rockers than this movie is it.

Dave Grohl is funny and so is Rami and his bedazzled underoos! They all have some great comedic moments.

Honestly, I think minus the horror element this is an insight to how these amazing guys work and really why they have managed to stay together over 20 years. Give it a chance I promise you there is real comedy gold.

Oh better yet if you like Tenacious D type comedy, then this movie will be right your comedy and rock alley!!

Foo Fighters being silly but fun
If you're a fan of the Foo Fighters, or of horror comedies, I'd definitely recommend it. They are clearly not actors, but Dave shone out a bit above the rest.

I'm not even a fan. I know about them, of course, but not that familiar with their music.

But it was a lot of fun. The way the band interacted with each other. And it was really funny. The gore was... I'd say minimal.
