Yet another 'film' that's more of an extended music video with dialogue
I do hope that this franchise doesn't go for a 4th outing as it's getting decidedly worse film by film. Installment 3 is particularly implausible on so many levels that it's just not worth listing them all - let's just say the BIG mistake on which the entire film premise rests is wrong - Greeks do not get cremated, the Greek Orthodox Church is completely opposed to cremation and it is actually illegal throughout Greece. The deceased and his family would have been ostracised by all the people they met for involvement in this desecration of a rigid religious and social Greek convention.
Despite this I sort of enjoyed the film as a bit of light entertainment (especially the overly long photo montage before it even started, the food looked very appetising, but more suited to a documentary and I was surprised that there were no extras on the DVD).
The introduction of an obviously lesbian main character was unsatisfactory as her story went absolutely no where and so was merely coy posturing as was the involvement of 'cuddly' refugees and the extremely unlikely friendly local reaction to them. Xenophobia is of course a Greek word, and the friendliness shown to tourists (even if a bit false at times) is not extended to refugees with no spending power. - ecatlasvegas - 31 March 2024
Useless Movie
Absolutely the most boring movie could not go past their stupid dialogue and unfunny characterization totally waste of time and money Tick Tock videos are more entertaining than this garbage. The cast of characters are more like caricatures and their Escapade is not only not entertaining but slovenly and getting paid for this stupidity. The first in the series was good but banking on viewers patronage and should not have been ever filmed. More like a poor documentary for Greek tourism. Nia is looks old and unfunny. Rest of the characters are have fake Greek accent and look ridiculous. The scene on the plane is bad.
