The Croods: A New Age

The Croods: A New Age

Searching for a safer habitat, the prehistoric Crood family discovers an idyllic, walled-in paradise that meets all of its needs. Unfortunately, they must also learn to live with the Bettermans -- a family that's a couple of steps above the Croods on the evolutionary ladder. As tensions between the new neighbors start to rise, a new threat soon propels both clans on an epic adventure that forces them to embrace their differences, draw strength from one another, and survive together.

    It has a good workforce.
The writing by Kevin and Dan Hageman and several others is a slick, ridiculous DayGlo show that quickly launches into jokes about dinosaurs, some of which even make sense.

Grug, the overly cautious and archaic father from the first film, is still unduly concerned about his tenacious teenage daughter Eep and her boyfriend Guy. A rejected Guy leads the clan into a technological wonderland owned and maintained by the comparatively tame Bettermans, Phil, Hope, and their daughter Dawn. The clan includes Grug's wife Ugga, kid Thunk, wild newborn Sandy, adventurous matriarch Gran, and pets Chunky and Douglas. These highly developed agrarian outsiders accept Guy as a possible suitor for Dawn, but they have less affection for the title family.

A variety of encounters with wolf-spiders, chicken seals, punch monkeys, and landsharks follow, adding much-needed cryptozoological mayhem to an already bizarre setting and fast-paced narrative.

    silly plot but totally enjoyable
I watched it on Netflix last night with my kids. Years ago I watched the first Croods movie and I remember it was funny but honestly I do not remember anything else from the movie.

This one is by far more memorable and it is REALLY FUNNY.

There were many things I did not like about the movie and its plot and I found some things ridiculous and very focusing on feminism (incompetent men waiting to be saved by strong women) .The kids did not notice it but it was very prominent throughout the film.

But the rating still remains high because it is very hard to find any kind of movies these days that can actually make you laugh out loud.
