    Masterpiece
Just saw this last night and it was a such a beautiful, sad and relatable movie. It is based on a true story that gay people are still experiencing and suffering today. I felt this movie. It hit me deep. People who are not gay probably won't be able to reach the level of emotions that this beautiful story gives. Even though this love between Sergey and Roman got cut short by such tragedy, I'm happy that they got to experience it in real life, a true love that I, personally, have yet to experience. I got so invested in their love story that I bought Sergey's memoir to experience what Sergey and Roman had actually gone through.

High hopes dashed by awful acting
Heard so much hype about this movie and I was really looking forward to watching it.

Five Minutes in and Tom Prior ruined it all for me, for a co-writer to cast themself as a lead in the movie and not even attempt a localized accent that fits the setting of the film should be enough to remove his right to act ever again. (This is ignoring the obvious issue with the English language being used throughout the film).

The basic storyline could have been great, but was completely overshadowed by the failed attempt to act by either of the two leads.

Disappointing from start to finish. I did get some good laughs from the wig though.
