One of the Pure Heart and soul connection
I think LOVE is all about connecting soul' what ever we do we think for that person is only for that soul , we feel connect for that one soul and we kinda predicted what's going wrong if there is something wrong going on inside that person's head soo... I think that's love and we try to kinda adjust for that person and kinda feel we can change our behaviour for that person, if any fight we gona feel crying, that's what love for me.. & some times we can't stay with that person unfortunately.. we can't get married with that person u love.... These guys are lucky they get married and fell in love with eachother .

So I think I felt connected with this film so if any award name has a PURPLE HEART then it deserves a HEART.

GOOD EFFORT BUT PREDICTABLE FOLLOW THROUGH...!
A Netflix original from last year. Sofia Carson (from the Descendants, she of the blue hair) is a singer & bar employee trying to make ends meet but what holds her back is her diabetes w/her health insurance practically non-existent. Entering this picture is a marine who is about to be deployed to the Middle East, Nicholas Galitzine, who after trying to pick her up at Carson's bar (a known hot spot for the military) goes down in flames as their ideologies (she's a little bit left, he's is lot right) clash. Overhearing from a friend that if Carson marries a marine, her medical troubles will soon be over since the military bankrolls health coverage she hopes as a last resort to get life back on track so she engages her best friend, Chosen Jacobs, w/the proposal which he turns down since he's already engaged but Galitzine, his roomie, undergoing his own debt from his drug using past (the dealer fronted him some money for a car he crashed under his father's care/repair), decides to take her up on her plea (the marriage would bring in more money for him as well to handle his own problems) but after getting wounded in action sending him back Stateside to recuperate, fears are under way by the couple being caught by the powers that be while Carson's singing career takes off. Wow Disney has partnered w/Nicholas Sparks to make a romantic fable & what a winner it is! Just joshin', the film, which hits all the predicable marks w/the actors doing their best w/the black/white material make this cinematic comfort food go down smoothly but you really wish a little more digging would've made this a story for the ages.

Didn't expect to enjoy it but I did
Watched it once and was like meh but after another time I enjoyed it very good acting from both lead actors questionable decisions in some parts but overall I recommend you to check it out good movie chemistry was there and the songs were fine to me a little funny also wouldn't say it's the best but I enjoyed it ending was bitter sweet too. Overall storyline was well written and in some parts left me confused on how that would even happen in real life luke was the mastermind behind all this and Cassie really came in towards the end to really see how much he really meant to her. Overall good movie.

    Solid drama with great songs
Dont normally watch this genre, but my wife was watching it while I was bedridden, so didnt have much choice.

Surprisingly compelling storyline, decent acting from the mains, particularly Sofia Carson.

It also tackles a range of issues from health and healthcare, war and its perceptions, guns, addictions and even immigration. It does so tactfully without coming across too heavy handed.

Felt invested in the charcaters which is saying something coming from me.

Sofia's songs were great too, reminded me of lady gaga in a star is born.

My wife described the movie as a raw emotional journey, gave you all the feels youd be seeking in such a movie.

    PURPLE HEARTS - 1/10
What kind of sick, republican trash is this? Why are Netflix so annoyingly focused on making the single worst 'romance' of all of mankind? Who wrote this script? Why? ... All of these questions were questions I wondered in the first twenty minutes of this film. I genuinely don't think I've seen a film so set on pleasing a certain demographic since Alvin and the Chipmunks. The demographic being forty-year-old, republican, trump-supporting, soccer moms who wish their fifty-year-old, depressed husband was a twenty-two-year-old, muscular, ryan-gosling-lookalike boy with a job as a male model and stripper. The whole story surrounding the film could be decent on paper. I won't give too much away as this is a spoiler free review but certain story inclusions and story bumps could be quite interesting with the right setting. However, the film is just massively brought down by the cliché and lazy script, as well as bad acting and terrible pacing. The soundtrack has been said to sound very good but I just don't feel it. The songs are just the same as any other bad, pop song that somehow make it onto the top fifty charts of the week. They didn't add anything too the film and could've easily been replaced with any other song on the top charts. I've also heard some people give the film praise on the ending of the film which, again, I just don't resonate with at all. The ending was everything I expected it to be - it was not sad, it was not heartbreaking - it was predictable and, in the grand scheme of things, forgettable (which is the worst thing a romance can be in my opinion). And as for the other aspects of the presentation, such as the sound, cinematography, sets etc., they were all just fine. The worst being the cinematography for pretty clear reasons - just look at any clip from the trailer of YouTube and it's clear there was just no thought that went into creating visual storytelling in any way shape or form. Apart from that, I can't really say much more about the rest of the film, mainly due to (again) how boring and uninteresting the film. At least with certain bad films, I have something to write about whereas, with this film, it's so dry and thin that there is nothing more I need to add. 1/10.

Mil love stories are bad, but this one was pure cringe
Who did they consult for this? That discharge is unrealistic - I am an army vet and AF wife. Dudes get honorable discharges literally every month.. constantly... after entire sexual assault cases have multiple women come froward. The military locks their records and let's them back into society with full benefits. I watch it happen ALL. THE. TIME. This movie dishonorably boots a dude for a contract marriage? Haha. Maybe you'll lose a stripe and get made fun of by leadership for a while. MAYBE. Probably not. Nevermind the weird behavior by the Marines the entire movie. The barking? C'mon. Did y'all meet a Marine for this? Were they missing the old days and wildly over exaggerating? Wtf.

Next, did y'all talk to ANYONE with diabetes?? Why's she look like a heroin addict? What is happening in this movie? Why is there no chemistry at any point? Just... Why does this movie exist hahaha.

Military love story movies are ALWAYS bad, but this one was.... Just wow.
