    The bad guy sucked
Morbius the film had the potential to be great, however the script writers & director failed to understand that in any Super Hero ( or Super Anti-Hero or even Super Villian ) movie the most important thing is to ensure that the bad guy(s) ( +/or bad gals ) are intriguing to watch & as an audience you can see their conflict between being good vs evil.

So you can watch their character arcs evolving either good or evil, as that is what audiences want. What is motivating them & can we kind of understand their point of view even when we disagree with their logic.

Of course the best Super Heroes also need to walk this tightrope too. The point is all sentient beings are not 100% good or 100% evil, so what is interesting to see is how people can go from one to the other.

So is DR Michael Morbius ( Jared Leto ) an intriguing character, well yes just about however we do not see enough anguish from him when he has committed acts of evil, so that makes it hard for the audience to stay connected with his character motivations, however the real issue is WHO cast Matt Smith as Milo as maybe if the script was better he could have done much better. The basic acting ability is there, but the problem is at no point in the film can the audience actually feel any real empathy for the adult Milo ( Matt Smith ) as their is no conflict in his character. He just chooses to be evil & has no qualms about it which then makes his character 2D & makes the end of the movie boring.

Adria Arjona is beautiful but not a good actress, so maybe instead of casting someone for their looks, maybe cast a good character actor?

Jared Harris is an excellent actor, as he did as good as he was able.

The rest of the supporting cast did good, however ultimately the script writers have to take the blame for failing to keep the story compelling.

    I enjoyed it
I like the character Morbius, his powers are cool. He'd be a really cool hero to have at your side. He should have his own mini team like the avengers.

My friends say it needed more character development and more of a story to it. I persoanlly think they did develop the characters and story fairly well but yes they could have done with a little more. You don't want the movie to be too long, but I think another 20 mins of story building, built up from another 5 or 10 mins here and there would have done it.

I liked the main female character, it would have been / would be nice to see their love story develop a little more.

I don't like the person he met in cut scene, wtf? I don't like where that's going.

    Overall I really enjoyed it.

CGI was great, u can't do a movie like that without lots of CGI .
