    Almost impossible to sit through
I saw a few clips on internet of this film and had the idea it was entertaining enough to watch. I love the idea of this superhero having a low pofile just to stay alive and perhaps do a form of redemption. And being a fan of Sylvester Stallone he does not disappoint. Despite his age he still has a presence. But the rest of the film is bad, really bad. An extremely bad script (what's the motivator of the bad guy) with big plot holes (if in the fire the brother died, or at least one, where's the body, they did find the helmets). But the worst is the acting, is Stallone that good or the rest that bad? Also the fight scenes are for a low R rating, no blood, very moderate violence, a bit of punching and throwing of bodies. It's not a kids movie is it? I did sit the film through but only just. If you want to see superheroes or people with superpowers in a daily setting watch the Boys or even Heroes. Both amazing series with this theme.

Only one or two real complaint.
I was really enjoying this movie. Stallone is amazing at his age. He's so likable. The kid was great. They didn't ruin it by making him a victim. My real complaint comes later in the movie when there is a flashback to a younger Stallone. When I say the CGI is only second to Scorpion King as the worst, believe it. It's horrible. In another scene there is fire everywhere (not a spoiler). This scene just keeps on going, and I can't figure out how anyone (except Stallone's character) could possibly live through the smoke inhalation and the extreme heat. I'm not saying you shouldn't watch it. It's fun. The real world, comic book nature of the story, makes it fun.

Drawing in both ends of the audience demographic
Looks like Amazon are going all-out in trying to draw audiences at the moment; they've even gone into Korean drama by the looks of it. This film is an attempt to draw in both the youth market by making a superhero movie and elder viewers by casting Stallone as a superhero, a first for the actor although he did play Judge Dredd back in the 1990s. The film is quite unremarkable for the most part, and the superhero aspects of the story are pitifully underdeveloped. The supporting cast is made up of youngsters who fail to hit the mark and only Pilou Asbaek's cliched villain stands out. Stallone, however is, solid and impresses in the fights, and the last half an hour really kicks off with some surprisingly brutal and exciting moments for what is a 12 certificate movie.

    Stallone is likeable
Stallone is believable as an aging superhero. I was entertained through out and enjoyed this feel good movie. I appreciated there was not a ton unnecessary violence. I'm glad Stallone is finding roles that fit his age and are character driven. The young man is very good also in this movie.

Surprise ending that I did not see coming. Overall a good drama with some violence. A must see for Stallone fans. More movies I hope will be in the near future for Stallone. I see a bright future for the young actor also.

I would recommend for preteens and a good movie to sit down and watch for the family. Big thumbs up for me.

    Wouldn't watch again.
Not totally terrible but not good. One of those where you have to turn your brain off as every single character lacks common sense and the physics, continuity and storyline dont make sense most of the film. It could have been good if done properly.

I actually like Sylvester Stallone, I like cheesy action movies; but there is a good way and bad way of doing these things and this is leaning more towards the bad.

I'm not sure who this is aimed at. Its filmed more in a way that 8 year olds would like, but its rated 12 and has unnecessary swearing in it if it is for kids. Either make a kids film or make an adult film. It's like this is trying to do both and therefore failing.

Oh and the plot twist can be seen coming from about 20 minutes in.

    Unbearable
Bad movie. Villains are terrible interpreters. The story is dull. Not even the scenery impresses when they want to show gang streets and imitate Mad Max. I only watched until the end to see if, at least, the ending wouldn't be as bad as the rest of the movie. I don't recommend it to anyone. Trash movie.

Stallone is still trying to save the scenes but the script and direction wouldn't let him.

It seems to me that Stallone is, in fact, at the end of his career.

If you decide to watch it you will be disappointed. I do not recommend.

Prime could choose its releases better. I miss Rambo and the Specialist, I finally wasted my time.
