represent our uniqueness in a proper honorable way ...
... quite good and unusual film, and the story telling me , that anyone has value and could be a part of something big and meaningful

... a leader could design a team from quite different people making them worthy like giving them a job , a purpose a task that they have to solve together...

story makes pretty obvious that, how the competitive members could be good for the team cause and also NOT so peaceful ... I see a lot wise segments in the film story that have been taken from real life ...

every character has an own way to achieve pursuing from the team result... like fighting skills, psychological manipulation, sex appeal, street smart , science etc ... unique special abilities...

all members are convicted, at some point of the film story film makers like telling me the human society has some fault for that?

Please stay at school and do your homework at regular basis...

members are shown as outsiders from the usual society, but those characters look normal compare to real ones that serve to the CRAZY idea to conquer and rule the people like puppets ...

my understanding is like film makers telling me in their way that every story could be a lesson ...

I guess film story should be a lesson to a lot political leaders...
    • Don't make us puppets to your crazy ambitious, instead represent our uniqueness in a proper honorable way ...

    Overstimulating, Confusing & Outrageous
I give this movie a 5/10 strictly due to the submersive theatrical performance of the actors, as I was completely lost in the movie. I didn't really know what was going on at some point. I barely grasped onto the storyline but i believe it was the first of it's type as the story line unfolded in a unique manner, that of which I have personally never seen on screen. I may be slightly overzealous with my review but I do believe they could have done a greater job with the production. Otherwise, the directing of the movie was first class as I believe that is what saved the movie. Some of the powers were ridiculous e.g. Polkadot man, kind of left me in limbo in combination with the costumes some of the characters wore as well as the star fish and the shark out of water which just left me in awe of the imaginative creativity of writer of the script. However, I did not feel fit into the dynamic of the suicide squad. A parasite would've made more sense maybe an alligator or crocodile rather than a shark but that's just me. Otherwise, beside the random scenes and the unexpected surprised the story line unravelled well in relation to the unique approach utilised to introduce the story line.

    Wait! This one is actually..GOOD!!??
In 2016 there was an almost entirely forgettable movie called "Suicide Squad."

Then "The Suicide Squad" came out in 2021 demanding that it be viewed as a reboot rather than a sequel yet weirdly with 2 of the same actors playing the same characters. On top of this weirdness the trailer (at least for someone not intimately familiar with the periphery of DC comics) made it look like they were unimaginatively replacing a Will Smith sharp shooter character with an Idris Elba sharpshooter character and a cannibalistic humanoid crocodile with a cannibalistic humanoid shark which even further seemed to telegraph a film more feckless than the first.

And then (whether because of the perceptions these marketing decision induced or covid or both or whatever) it was a box office bomb which further convinced me that it would be even more forgettable than its predecessor.

So I only finally watched in 2023 and to my delight found out it was a comic book superhero gem of a movie!

If "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Deadpool" are 10/10s for there respective sub-sub-genres then the first 2/3s of this movie is the "Deadpool" of "Guardians of the Galaxy" with the majority of every scene, frame and line being hilarious or carnage or both while having a good dose heart that doesn't only adds without getting in the way or weighing the movie down.

The last 1/3 retains a lot of its humor while getting predictably more serious but also more dark and tragic with a fair rendition "Captain America: The Winter Soldier"'s play of what patriotism truly means.

My only critique would be that the dark and tragic go a little bit too far and therefore required a transition that would hard to make smooth enough to keep the movie from feeling a little disjointed.

But this also makes the movie unexpectedly impactful and work better as a one-off and if you ignore the throw away post-credit scene it is a perfect stand-alone movie.

So pretend box office smash "Suicide Squad" never existed and watch "The Suicide Squad" the next time you need an R rated super hero comedy that holds together. It's on Netflix Now!

Top 5 comic book movies of all time
In my mind which I know his very different from others, this is a perfect movie. It has memorable characters who develop throughout the movie. It has over the top action that can always be remembered and it's visuals are absolutely striking. I'm a 16 year old who dreams to be a filmmaker and I really connected with this movie. Of course it's not for everyone yet if you don't mind gore and language I don't get why some people didn't like it. James Gunn keeps producing one good comic book movie after another like Super, Guardians 1 and 2 now this. Also what stands out to me in a good movie is the soundtrack. In all the big budget movies these days they just pick the most popular song they can and put it in a scene it only half works in. Yet Gunn chose his own music and it completely worked. I love this movie so much and I rarely rewatch stuff but I can watch this again and again. HIGH RECOMMEND.

    Much Better
As a lover of the DC Universe especially the Harley Quinn, I absolutely enjoyed every minute of this movie. Margot Robbie playing the Harley Quinn has always seemed like the perfect match for me and it will always be like that. She literally lives the character. Compared to the first movie of the Suicide Squad, this one had a much better villain and a better plot. Joker not being included in this movie unnecessarily made the plot seem much better. Characters such as Peacemaker and Polka-dot Man were really unique and fun to watch. Even though they all have a different way of thinking, I adored how they could unite as a squad. Overall, each character was thoughtfully written.

    A MUST SEE!
Not to be confused with "Suicide Squad" this is a absolute delight! I am not a typical superhero movie fan but i enjoyed this one. Very well done and all the actors did a fantastic job. Storyline was tight, it was funny, enduring, fantastic fight sequences and the chemistry between the actors is amazing! Super funny & hilarious but the characters will be tugging at your heart strings before you know it! Viola Davis, this woman excels in every movie, Margot Robbie has got Harley in her blood i swear, Idris Elba bring a sophisticated serious funny man to the table and John Cena (you may/may not see him) did a perfect job. I want to jot everyone down but my fingers hurt so i will just say WATCH IT! Oh and, We love you Polka Dot Man!!
