    Original but lost opportunity
After so many sequals, reboots from hollywood, this movie try something new. I enjoyed a little bit thats all.

After Nolan's movies this movie feels like one of knock offs.

If you tired of seeing similar movies recently, you could give this one a little chance and I think you should. Because as I mentioned before they tried something new. It is not a perfect movie but it is decent enough. And we need more movies like this that try something original or new.

I gave 6 because it is needed to be an example for movies that trying something new. Don't watch trailer or anything just watch and enjoy.

A solid action / mystery mix
Agreed, the movie takes inspiration from cinematic classics such as matrix, inception, shutter island or even x-man (the great ones with Famke Jansen and the idea of Zerebro). It never actually reaches the intensity, the flow or the major twists these movies wowed the audience with. This said, Hypnotic is in my pov still entertaining and if u don't watch the trailer and refrain from reading too many reviews it might give u a good level of surprise, action and tension (plus, a rather unexpected showdown). Acting is solid, effects adequate (not sure though where the 70 Million production costs went into...)all in all a nice watch.

    Ben Afleck
This guy is an Oscar winner and based on this tripe , it could easily be one hundred years ago. I seriously thought " The Accountant " would put him back near the top , but I was wrong . Nothing about this " Movie " works at all . Stupendously dumb writing ( which obviously wasn't sounded out in a group meeting ) which makes each participant in the crime , culpable by default. What is this thing supposed to be ? It literally makes zero sense ? There are several movies out there that have tried the same premise ( I won't name them for the sake of embarrassment to this garbage ) and they pulled it off . This is troubling because seriously large amounts of money produced this rubbish ?!
