malachiyongue-71704 - 26 January 2024 beautiful story! This film has so much emotion and backstory. The characters and their stories were portrayed so well, you really get to know them. I loved the way we were able to see the characters develop and grow emotionally and physically with the help of football and their coach. It was hard to watch the kids be beaten by that scumbag at the orphanage but I sure did enjoy watching him get punched later in the movie. Disregarding that loser, it was really great watching the team progress so much that they were able to make it as far as they did in the season. As a whole this film was amazing and id watch it again, 9/10.
alanmatasolis - 19 January 2024 best movie ever 12 mighty orphans might have been the best movie I've seen. The movie moved me in a way I just love my sport even more. The motivation it gave me is out of this world for real. I would highly recommend this movie no matter if you're into sports or not because the emotions in this movie are off the charts honestly. I love have everyone on the team was motivated because everyone thought it was gonna be a challenge because they are orphans but they brought the battle to them honestly the movie sucks towards the end because they didn't mean the state championship because of one inch but they was still proud of them self because they came with nothing and left with more than they can dream of.
embrymcgraw - 19 January 2024 Definitely will be one of my top 10 movies. The "12 mighty orphans" movies were very exciting to look at in my personal view. The graphics were very up to par to me and the characters in the movie were chosen very closely by the casting directors casting people who would look the part since it was all based on a true story. This movie was kinda tragic in a lot of ways mainly because they were just kids without families but kids with a traumatic past. They would soon be in a school for orphans where they would be forced to do child labor for one the specific teachers to teach them "manhood" and basically what they all were ever gonna be for in the future. At the end they all teamed up as one team all the way to championship but sadly lost and after all that they became a family. Which could relate to today's society by connecting the moments in basic life events. This movie overall was 10/10 and to add Luke Wilson was my favorite actor in previous shows like I've watched like Stargirl for example, so it was surprising to see him in this one.
planktonrules - 30 April 2022 A true story...with some liberal doses of 'Hollywoodizing'. The story in "12 Mighty Orphans" is true....or at least mostly true. But like so many other films based on true stories, huge liberties were taken here and there to make the story more cinematic. So, while it is true that the orphans' home did field a team with only 12 players and they EVENTUALLY were champion calliber, much of the timeline has been condensed and things 'adjusted' (Franklin Roosevelt never had any involvement in the story and there was no evil rival coach).
If you look past the changes as well as a couple cliches typical of sports films, the story still is inspirational and fascinating. I just wish films presented exactly what happened...warts and all. But despite this, the film still makes a nice family inspirational picture.
Ckn48 - 13 November 2021 Period American Football movie This does hold the attention but it really is aimed at the american/american football market. If you don't understand the Plays (which i don't) you really won't get half of this movie, which i didnt. So they changed the way future games are played, that's about all i got from it.
The Script is ok
The sound is ok
The Photography is ok
The Acting is ok
Unless you understand American Football
I wouldn't recommend it 👎
