Vikramaditya, a world-renowned palmist, believes love does not exist in his stars, until he meets Prerana. But when destiny tries to pull them apart, will love prevail?
kaishushankar - 21 December 2023 Fantastic movie "Radhe Shyam" impressed with technical advancements, marking a substantial improvement. However, a perceived gap in the storyline, approximately 30% missing, left room for unmet expectations. Noteworthy moments, such as Vikram's statement about not reading palms twice, hinted at unexplored potential, possibly related to palmistry. Imagining a scenario where the movie attained a perfect 100, envisioning a more complete narrative, could have elevated its impact globally. Despite this, your acknowledgment of the remaining 70% reflects a positive appreciation for the film's strengths, highlighting a nuanced perspective on its overall cinematic experience.
ptwtpbc - 15 December 2022 Looks good tastes just horrible!! Definitely a missed opportunity to make a love saga Radhe shyam was clearly one of the movies for which i was the most excited in 2022. The trailer and the songs had created a premise that in my mind was way different from that i got to see on the screens. Vintage setting with palmistry as the theme should be a winner on any day. But the story and the screenplay havent utilised anything that have been given to work on. The movie felt hurried with lack of emotions. It felt as if focus was on the rich visuals and not on anything else. Prabhas and pooja hegde chemistry was a big negative. For the story that was presented it could have been done for a budget that was 10 times lesser than the actual one. Very very disappointing script!!
udvasishta - 12 July 2022 How can they not see a problem with their own story? Every review here mostly says it was a waste of money and it is true. There was no need to spend so much for this story.
They need to understand that if only a plot needs money it looks good to spend on one.
My main problem with the movie was Vikramaditya being a palmist predicted several people's future including Indira Gandhi that she will declare an Emergency in India.
But at the end he believes that whatever his "amazing" work of palmistry was till now is nothing but crap and people can write their own future. But what about his whole identity of being a fortune teller?
The director must think audience are idiots and will watch anything if it looks expensive.
Prabhas looked like a photoshopped version of himself because of over processing of the movie.
Pooja hegde can't act. So get ready for some bizzare emotional scenes that are comedic rather than moving.
And seriously Bhagya sree could have been Prabhas' sister than mother. We are not living in the 70's or 80's to cast young female as moms.
The execution in some places felt a bit untouched, but the videography, storytelling, and strong characters are a breathtaking promise. The feeling of love and the phenomenon is unchallenged and brought about at its best. Indian cinema has spoiled our viewers with direct storytelling, especially in the South, that is sprinkled with action and a whole dash of relatability in their day-to-day lives. Hence I see more non-Indians enjoying such a flair like the la-la land and le miserable attempts in Indian cinema. So for all such reasons, I wouldn't be surprised if the Indian audience felt robbed or unsatisfied with this South Indian promise.
As a whole, I enjoyed the beautiful storytelling, rare but confident take, and its attempt at upholding the Indian truth. And most importantly, the power of human potential that beats all odds. A beautiful saga at its best.
