    Watered down disappointment.
It's too bad this movie made money. It temps the studios to make more. The movie wants to make a statement on global warming, but it's like watching a bad debate where the arguments made by the pro side are so bad they lose without any need for the other side to speak - score one for the climate deniers. Some of the special effects were good, only to be spoiled by an equal number of lackluster effects. The story was so bland and predictable I had to watch the second half at 2x speed to get through it. Much of the story, and characters, were borrowed from other comics. Take away Aquaman's trident and give him a hammer and you'd think this was a Thor film. I'd say Jason Momoa carried the film, but it was just too heavy - even under water.
