    Lazy and uninspired
Agree with all other reviewers, this was lazy and uninspired. They did not need A-list actors Samberg, Gomez, Buscemi, Spade to deliver the tired throw-away two to three word lines. It was as though this was an ai product made by a bot after viewing 1-3.

The climax where they go in a cave was taken straight out of Aladin. Did they think we have forgotten that movie since it is 35 years old?

The only somewhat funny running joke is about how Frankenstein loves his new body and hair, and Kevin James is not even there to tell the joke.

New Drac does his impression of Adam Sandler doing his impression of Count Dracula. No, the whole fun of these movies was Adam Sandler and his buddies getting together to do a kid's animated film and without James and Sandler clearly that is all lost!!

Good only if you are sick in bed and have nothing else to watch
I loved the first Hotel Transylvania movie so much. The two sequels grew more meh as the franchise went on but there were good parts in this. This movie....not so much. The only thing good was they kept the animation style as good as the theatrical releases as most downhill animation quality wise when they get picked up by streaming services and have sequels made there I've noticed.

Drac still can't accept his son in law or not being in complete command even by this 4th movie. It kinda seems we've gone back to the first movie but this time it's not anywhere near as charming as the previous installments where Drac learns to accept Johnny. Johnny also seems to have lost character development the instant he turns into the monster. As for the gang turning into humans? It's not fun as when they're monsters. Frankenstein is unbearably narcissistic as a human. The writing for both plot and characters just seems lazy and one dimensional.

I watched it because I was sick and bedridden and just wanted something mindless and fun to watch. It was just mindless though and I was glad when it was over. Sad end to the franchise and I sincerely hope Amazon doesn't try to pick this up and continue it as a kid's show of Johnny and Mavis running the hotel, the Netflix prequel series was bad enough.

Kids might enjoy it but it doesn't come anywhere close to the original movie that we all love.
